don't even get me started. some of the things I've been remembering..... I know for a FACT I don't have the power to take them down yet.
[He doesn't remark on the defending themselves thing because... well. He got schooled in front of the entire network the other day.]
oh, no... I mean I'm not sure yet. I'd like to see the inside of the Retrospec building eventually but this is for something else I'm gonna have to do a little bit of trespassing no matter what, and asking openly on the network about how to bypass locks isn't really subtle.
haha I thought I might. especially since I'm clueless when it comes to this sort of thing...
so uh this is gonna sound crazy but bear with me. I'm going ghost hunting.
there were spirits in the woods last month, and I want to see if I can talk to them again. I thought this time I should try somewhere that's more haunted but abandoned buildings are usually boarded up and chained shut
the graveyard seems like the obvious choice. unfortunately, there's usually a groundskeeper and I don't want to get us all arrested for trespassing.
I'm thinking an old hospital or a school. either one is bound to be creepy at least. it could be fun!
[He has a lot of things he could say in response but they're all so personal. Striking out isn't in Sorey's nature, so he withdraws instead. He thinks of what Lailah said to the other him in his vision, about burdens and powers beyond human understanding.]
you don't have to come with me if you don't want to. just a few pointers would be help enough
[It's nothing personal in Dante's opinion. He's seen a lot of stuff, both in this life and in his apparent past one, but he's never seen one thing to hint at the idea of ghosts being a reality. One might think that with all the Retrospec stuff going on, he'd be more likely to accept the strange... but, well, a line has to be drawn somewhere.]
a few pointers? i can't exactly tell you over the network how to open a lock i've never seen before

[You've gotta be kidding him.]
sorey, ghosts don't exist
you know that, right? there wasn't anything in the woods last month, just more of retrospec's bullshit

... do they even use cutters to break chains
dang it I really have no idea how any of this works
no subject
you pick the lock so that when you come back out you can lock it up again
that way they never know it's been opened in the first place

I'm gonna owe you after this

i owe you for helping out with training after all
